Have you implemented your Workplace Violence Prevention Plan yet?
SB 553 Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP)
The clock is ticking for most California employers to implement a "WVPP" by July 1, 2024. The good news is that Cal/OSHA recently released tools and resources to assist employers including a fact sheet to help get you started, as well as a model template. Employers must act swiftly as the plan requires actively engaging employees in developing and implementing the plan as well as training. To date, there is no grace period noted. Read California Senate Bill 553 (SB 553) for additional information.
